wayne SHIMABUKURO
A native Angelino, Shimabukuro was raised in the shadow of Bunker Hill and educated in the L.A. public school system at a time when art and music were integral components of its curriculum. Much of his time was spent in the ceramic and painting studios. He went north to University of California, Santa Cruz, as a college freshman, returning home to finish his undergraduate studies in the fine art department at the University of California, Los Angeles.
He has shown frequently in solo and group exhibitions.

His most recent exhibition, BODY LANGUAGE, is a group show which includes painting, drawing, video, sculpture and photography, organized by Trevor Norris, Frank M. Doyle Arts Pavilion, Orange Coast College, Costa Mesa, CA.: 09.02.12 - 10.11.12
His work is included in numerous collections, including: Caldwell, Leslie & Proctor, PC, Los Angeles; CalMat Corporation, Los Angeles; The Robert V.
